The problem

Most outreach
misses the moment.

Consultants targeting NFPs and NDIS providers are approaching organisations based on size and sector alone. They have no visibility into which organisations are experiencing the financial pressure that makes them receptive to advisory support right now.

Cold lists with no context. Standard data brokers give you names and titles. No financial signals. No distress indicators. No reason why now.
Generic outreach that gets ignored. Messages that mirror back what an organisation already knows about themselves generate no response.
No system, just effort. Most consultants rely on referrals and network alone. When the network goes quiet, the pipeline dries up.

Intelligence before outreach.

CroShark analyses financial and operational data across thousands of Australian NFPs and NDIS providers to identify which organisations are experiencing pressure right now and are most likely to engage advisory support.

Proprietary distress scoring across multiple data sources
Personalised outreach built around each organisation's specific situation
Complete outreach system built and running before we leave the engagement
Selective client intake to protect exclusivity for active engagements
Sectors

Two sectors.
One methodology.

The same intelligence model applies across both sectors. What changes is the data source, the distress signals, and the sector language.

Not-for-profit

Australian NFP sector

Over 60,000 registered Australian charities and not-for-profit organisations, each filing public financial reports annually. We identify financially distressed NFPs before the crisis becomes visible to your competitors.

NDIS providers

NDIS provider sector

Thousands of registered NDIS providers under acute financial pressure from the 2024 to 2026 reform cycle. Funding cuts, mandatory registration, and price caps are creating identifiable distress signals we track and score.

01

Prospect intelligence gathering

We begin by defining your ideal client profile in detail. Sector, sub-sector, geography, revenue range, organisational type, and the specific advisory gap your firm fills. Once defined, we pull records from multiple proprietary data sources covering registered Australian NFPs and NDIS providers. This produces a raw universe of potential targets specific to your profile.

Unlike standard data brokers who filter by title and company size alone, we source from financial filings, property records, sector-specific regulatory databases, and operational indicators. The result is a richer picture of each organisation before we score a single one.

ICP definition Multi-source data pull Universe construction
02

Distress scoring and classification

Every organisation in the universe is scored from 1 to 10 on a proprietary distress rubric. The rubric assesses multiple financial and operational signals including revenue trajectory, surplus or deficit pattern, cash reserve movement, funding concentration risk, and sector-specific indicators relevant to the NFP or NDIS regulatory environment.

Organisations are then classified into three tiers: Distressed (score 7 to 10), Watchlist (score 5 to 6), and Stable (score below 5). Only Distressed and high-end Watchlist organisations proceed to the outreach phase. Low-score organisations are filtered out entirely.

A score of 7 to 10 indicates an organisation experiencing active financial or operational pressure significant enough to make them receptive to advisory support. A score below 5 indicates stability. There is no commercial case for approaching a stable organisation that does not yet need you.

Proprietary scoring rubric Multi-signal analysis Three-tier classification
03

Personalised outreach construction

For every high-score target, we construct personalised outreach using Challenger Sale methodology. Each message references specific financial or operational signals from that organisation's own data. Not what you do. What their data is telling us about their situation. This framing generates response rates significantly above sector averages for generic outreach.

Outreach is built for both LinkedIn and email channels. Each channel has its own copy format, length, and tone calibrated for how decision-makers engage in that context. We write a primary message and two follow-up touchpoints for each target.

04

System build and handover

CroShark does not deliver a spreadsheet and leave. We build the outreach infrastructure for you. LinkedIn Sales Navigator sequences, email delivery setup, follow-up cadence scheduling, and a simple tracking system for managing responses. You receive a running machine, not a document.

We also provide an optional diagnostic PDF report for your top three targets. Each report is a custom briefing built from that organisation's own data, formatted as a professional document your consultant can reference or share in an initial conversation.

Distress signals

What we look for
in NFP financials.

These are the indicators that tell us an organisation is experiencing pressure significant enough to make them receptive to advisory support right now.

Revenue decline

Year-on-year revenue decline of 10 percent or more signals funding pressure, donor attrition, or contract loss. Strong leading indicator of advisory need.

Surplus to deficit shift

An organisation moving from surplus to deficit in consecutive years is burning reserves. Leadership is under pressure to find a path back to sustainability.

Cash reserve erosion

Declining cash and equivalents over two or more years indicates an organisation is consuming reserves faster than they are rebuilding them.

Funding concentration risk

Over 70 percent of revenue from a single government contract or donor creates existential risk. Reform cycles and policy changes put these organisations immediately at risk.

Expense outpacing revenue

Operating expenses growing faster than revenue for two consecutive years creates a structural imbalance that requires strategic intervention, not just cost cutting.

Property asset exposure

Organisations holding significant property assets while running operational deficits may be candidates for asset advisory, M&A support, or strategic restructuring.

Sector intelligence

Australian NDIS

Why NDIS providers
need advisory support now.

Reform timeline

Key dates creating immediate urgency.

OCT 2024 New support definitions live Mandatory reg announced DEC 2024 APR 2026 2% growth cap announced NOW SIL providers must register JUL 2026 DEADLINE 2030 160,000 fewer participants

The NDIS reform cycle is externally imposed. The financial pressure on providers is not the result of poor management alone. It is the result of government policy changes that have fundamentally shifted the economics of service delivery. This creates a specific type of receptiveness to advisory support.

New support definitions

From October 2024, new legislation defines what NDIS funds can cover. Providers billing for newly excluded supports have had revenue removed without warning.

Price cap pressure

The NDIS price guide caps what providers can charge. Providers heavily concentrated in categories that received price reductions face immediate per-unit revenue loss.

Mandatory registration

SIL and platform providers must be registered by July 2026. Smaller unregistered providers face significant compliance costs they have not planned for.

Growth cap impact

Scheme growth capped at 2 percent from 2026 compared to 20 percent historically. Providers that built cost structures on high-growth assumptions face structural deficits.

Participant reduction

Government estimates 160,000 fewer participants by 2030. Providers in high-risk support categories face client attrition with no replacement demand.

Fraud enforcement

Strengthened NDIA investigative powers and tighter claims scrutiny are creating compliance risk for providers with historically loose billing practices.

Who we serve

serve NDIS providers.

We build pipeline for the consultants and advisors helping NDIS providers navigate the reform cycle. The organisations we identify are under real pressure and are actively seeking support.

About CroShark

Built on the belief that
intelligence changes outcomes.

Most B2B outreach fails because it is not informed by anything real about the person on the other end. CroShark was built to change that for the consultants and advisors who serve Australia's NFP and NDIS sectors.

CroShark is a B2B growth intelligence agency working exclusively with firms that serve the Australian not-for-profit and NDIS provider sectors. We exist because the gap between a consultant's capability and their pipeline is almost always an intelligence gap, not a skills gap.

The advisory firms we work with are experienced, credible, and genuinely capable of delivering value to the organisations they target. What they lack is a systematic way to identify which organisations need them right now, and a message that speaks to that specific situation rather than broadcasting a generic offer.

Our methodology combines financial data analysis across multiple proprietary sources, a distress scoring model built specifically for the NFP and NDIS context, and AI-assisted outreach construction using Challenger Sale methodology. The result is a pipeline that is informed, targeted, and built to generate real conversations.

We operate on a selective intake model. We do not take on every client who approaches us. We take on clients where there is a genuine fit between what they offer and the organisations our intelligence is identifying. That selectivity is what protects the quality of our output and the integrity of the engagements we support.

How we work

Three principles
we do not compromise on.

Intelligence first.

We do not send outreach until we understand the financial and operational context of the organisation being approached. Every message is informed by data, not assumption. If we do not have enough intelligence to personalise, we do not proceed.

Selective by design.

We take on a limited number of clients in each sector segment to protect exclusivity. An advisory firm paying for our intelligence should not be competing with another of our clients for the same prospects. That is not a policy. It is the foundation of the model.

Systems, not tasks.

We build infrastructure that keeps working after the engagement ends. A running outreach system, a scored and classified target list, and a refresh cadence that keeps the pipeline current. We do not deliver a one-time output and disappear.
